Share your latest research findings with the international psychopharmacology community at ICP 2027
A. Congress Programme and Content
At the ICP 2027, distinguished speakers will share the latest developments in the field through plenary lectures, symposia, double conferences and debates. ICP 2027 also offers workshops, meet the expert sessions and courses which will be available for all participants.
All abstracts, brief reports and presentation material (Slideshows of Symposia and other sessions, Oral Research Presentations, e-Posters of Poster Research Presentations and Case Report Presentations) submitted to the congress should be prepared entirely in American English. At the ICP 2027 poster research presentations and case report presentations will be presented on electronic poster (e-poster) displays only during e-poster sessions within the scientific programme. No hard copy posters will be on display at the ICP 2027.
English is mandatory language for all presentation material displayed in the congress. Slideshows of plenary lectures, symposia, course, and other sessions must be delivered to the technical team at least 3 hours before the presentation. (for in-person attendees)
Speech texts for sessions (Symposia, Plenary Lecture, Course, Workshop, Meet the Expert, Debate, Double Conference) should be uploaded via online abstract submission system until 29th March, 2027. Speech texts are prepared unstructured and have a limited word count of 500 words; adding references is optional.

The abstracts of oral / e-poster research presentations must consist of 450-500 words, 5 or 6 keywords and structured as background & objective, methods, results, and conclusions. Abstracts of case report presentations must consist of 450-500 words, 3 keywords and structured as introduction, case presentation and conclusion.
All papers received for the 18th International Congress on Psychopharmacology & Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology / Psychotherapy are screened by the organizing committee according to predetermined objective criteria and scoring system. The evaluations are made blindly by the referees. If found scientifically sufficient, papers are accepted for presentation.
Warning: We kindly ask you to mark scholarship, award and ethics committee questions carefully at the last stage of the paper upload process. In case of incorrect marking, the responsibility belongs to the owner of the paper and no scholarship or award application will be accepted after submission.
Peer-Review Evaluation
The scientific evaluation of submitted papers is conducted based on an independent peer-review system by experts in their respective fields. Evaluation results will be sent as formal acceptance letters to all corresponding authors.
PBS Publication
The full texts of accepted panels, oral presentations, and e-posters uploaded to the system will be published as an official supplementary issue in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology (PBS).
Important Submission Requirements
For each oral / e-poster presentation, only the participant defined as the presenter in the online submission system will make the presentation at the congress. Adding authors or presenter changes are not permitted after the submission deadline.
"In case reports, written consent from the cases themselves and/or their guardians is required. If the institution name, permission number and date of ethics committee permission are stated in the methods part, separate consent forms are not required."

Young Researcher Scholarship Notice:
Authors presenting oral or poster presentations must participate in person. The scholarship cannot be transferred to another co-author. Applicants must provide official proof of active residency, master, or doctorate status. For complete details, see the Awards & Scholarships page.
B. Types of Sessions Included in the Programme Scope
1. Keynote & Plenary Lectures
Overview of career and breakthrough research by senior authority lecturers selected by the scientific committee.
2. Symposia Oral Presentations
Group sessions (min. 4 speakers & discussant moderators) totaling 90 minutes. Simultaneous translation is provided in main halls.
3. Workshops
Interactive hands-on training where participants actively engage under facilitator guidance.
4. Courses
Specialized learning sessions led by distinguished senior experts for smaller audience groups.
5. Meet the Expert Sessions
Interactive platform where pioneer researchers share career insights with early career researchers.
6. Forums
Joint sessions with international associations comparing novel psychopharmacology approaches.
7. Oral Research Presentations
8-minute presentations with 8 English slides + 2-minute Q&A in 90-minute structured sessions.
8. e-Poster Presentations
Electronic poster displays scrolling repeatedly on high-resolution screens (no hard copy posters).
e-Poster Submission Guidelines:
- All e-posters must be prepared entirely in American English in 9:16 vertical portrait format (jpg).
- Each abstract must be submitted exclusively via the online abstract submission portal.
- Must include top banner with title, author names, and institution affiliations.
- Submitted abstracts must not be published or presented prior to the submission period.
- Original studies are unlimited per presenter; case report presentations are limited to 2 per presenter.
- Presenters nominating for Outstanding Research Awards must upload their Brief Report prior to the deadline.

Technical Requirements & Journal Guidelines
- Text in e-posters must be legible from 1m distance (Recommended font: Arial 12-22pt).
- High-resolution tables and figures must be embedded for clear screen rendering.
- e-Poster files must be sent to dilara.kacar@burkon.com by 29th March, 2027.
- Abstracts must contain 450 to 500 words and 5 to 6 NLM keywords formatted per Psychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology rules.
C. Instructions for Outstanding Research Awards Application
General Requirements
- Must represent novel primary data research in psychopharmacology, neuroscience, or psychiatry.
- Avoid proprietary medication trade names; specify generic psychiatric medications clearly.
- Expand rare abbreviations at first usage with parenthesis.
Brief Report Structure & Layout
Nominees must submit a Brief Report (max 1,500 words excluding title/references) structured as: Objective, Methods, Results, Discussion.
- Objective: Tested hypothesis or target of research.
- Methods: Participants, setting, instruments, statistical analysis.
- Results: Findings explained clearly with data.
- Discussion: Literature comparison and clinical implications.
Evaluation Criteria (Peer Review)
- Clarity of research objective and hypothesis.
- Appropriateness of study design and statistical methodology.
- Originality, novelty, and clinical practicability of findings.
- Quality of scientific writing, language, and strict compliance with 1,000-1,500 word limit & NLM references.
